Updated: May 18, 2022

Lauren Fisher is already a seven-time The CrossFit Games veteran (three team, four individual). She started CrossFit at 14 in 2008 to improve her basketball game and by 2012, she had already finished 12th in Regionals. Since then, she’s helped team CrossFit Invictus take third at the 2019 CrossFit Games and taken ninth and 25th as an individual in the 2014 and 2016 games. Known for her Olympic weightlifting prowess, she also won the 2014 USA Weightlifting Junior National Championship in her class.

Lauren is an entrepreneur, with her own brand and online fitness program GrownStrong where she helps women around the world become stronger. She is currently training in Iceland with Annie Thorisdottir and her new CrossFit team.

In this episode, Lauren and Jamie Allison talk about her passion to help women find strength through community and sharing her own struggles and success, how Annie asked her to move to Iceland to train as part of a team, and how she balances being humble with trying to always be the hardest worker in the room.
